About Us

GeoCandles History
GeoCandles are handmade in Bloomington, Indiana from the finest ingredients offered around the world.
Owner, Klaus Haagen, personally chooses the palm wax, wicks, dyes and holder material. Haagen utilizes the original methods of European craftsmanship which he learned during his training as an engineer in Austria. Having worked extensively in Austria,
his candle collections have great, European inspirations. Inspired by artistic apprenticeships, GeoCandles have influences of
an "art meets engineering" theme. The infusions of colors and shapes combined with textures give a delicate balance of design
and practicality, leaving you with a layered and lingering sensation of artistic candlelight, a truly unique experience.

Mission Statement
The GeoCandles mission is to create a luxury candle experience rooted in a sensory journey of bringing about awareness of your surroundings through the exploration of shapes, textures, colors, sizes and the obscure. We invite you to be aware and open
to the many influences on your well being, through the medium of candles. GeoCandle light changes the atmosphere you inhabit and brings you and yours closer to your essence. If we can embrace the idea of trying something new such as the perplexing
oddity of geometric shapes and candlelight, or burning candle art, our world maybe one step closer to peace.

Getting Greener....
Our raw materials are 100% environmentally friendly.  The candles are made out of palm wax, a renewable plant material.
Our palm wax is certified organic and personally choosen for its clean burning qualities. The wicks are 100% cotton and the dyes meet stringent European standards for children's toys. We pride ourselves on environmentally friendly candle art.  Even people
with allergies who have reactions to paraffin candles, are able to enjoy GeoCandles without any negative reactions.
